Light sheet fluorescence microscopy (LSFM): 3D histology of adipose tissue

Mouse LSFM study
Dr. Ellen Gammelmark Klinggaard (ATLAS, SDU) uses LSFM for 3D histology of cleared adipose tissue, studying the dynamics of adipocytes, macrophages, and endothelial cells during obesity regression. The immunofluorescence labels adipocytes (PLIN1, green), macrophages in crown-like structures (F4/80, red), and endothelial cells in blood vessels (PECAM-1, magenta). The gallery includes an overview, a close-up of the tissue architecture, and a fly-through video of the full 3D vascular network.
